In 2022, NSE embarked on a strategic and ambitious transition with the project to obtain DOA (Design Organisation Approval or Part 21J) certification in response to evolving EASA (European Authority for aviation safety) regulations. This change has made DOA essential for continuing cockpit adaptations for Night Vision Goggles (NVG) use.
This project is crucial for the future of NVIS night vision solutions at the Soyons site and is being carried out in partnership with our client SAF, a major operator serving the French SAMU.
With SAF Aerogroup: NVIS certification of Trekker helicopters
With Mont Blanc Hélicoptères: NVIS modification and certification of several H135s
With Europavia: NVIS modification and certification of AS365s for the Spanish Guardia Civil
The achievement of DOA certification will be the result of the dedicated efforts of our project team. We are on the right track, and approval is expected to be finalized before the end of 2025.
The DOA project is part of a long-term strategy. This new status will strengthen our leadership position in the French market and open significant European business opportunities to drive our growth. Today, NSE equips nearly the entire French civil and military NVIS market, a performance that illustrates our excellence and commitment in this strategic sector for Soyons.
