Thanks to NSE Participations’ involvement, the volume of SAF purchased and used on future Air France flights can be increased. Sustainable Aviation Fuels are alternatives to fossil-based kerosene. Although they emit the same amount of CO₂ during flight, their production process significantly lowers total emissions.
Tonnes of CO₂, a significant reduction, on 3 years.
The SAF selected by Air France is made from non-fossil resources such as used oils and achieves at least a 65% reduction in CO₂ emissions over its entire lifecycle compared to conventional kerosene. Furthermore, it complies with European Union criteria, avoiding competition with food supply chains and not being derived from palm oil.
By participating in this program, NSE has contributed to a total reduction of 21.9 tonnes of CO₂ over three years:
tonnes of carbon credits in 2023
tonnes in 2024
tonnes in 2025
This demonstrates NSE’s strong commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability.
