Jérôme Fabre, 51, an engineer by training, has extensive experience in the industrial, aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. He began his career in 2000 at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, holding various positions within the General Directorate of the Treasury before joining the French Embassy in Washington as an economic and industrial advisor. From 2007 to 2009, he served as a technical advisor for industrial affairs at the Ministry of Ecology, Energy, and Sustainable Development.
In 2009, he joined the Eramet group as Director of Strategy and Development for Eramet Nickel. He later transitioned to operational leadership roles, heading the High-Performance Alloys division from 2018. In this capacity, he presided over Aubert & Duval and Erasteel, key players in high-performance special steels and alloys for aerospace, energy, and defense. As a member of Eramet’s Executive Committee and Deputy CEO, he played a pivotal role in the group’s transformation.
From 2023 to 2024, he led Société Le Nickel, an Eramet subsidiary, before being appointed as Chairman of the Executive Board of NSE, effective March 24, 2025. His expertise in strategy, industrial development, and international business management will be a key asset in driving NSE’s expansion and reinforcing its commitment to the defense and aerospace sectors.
